Principal Duncan Walker said that the 2014 show would feature the first Ringarooma 10 fun run, starting at 11am.

“There will also be a 4km run for under 14s,” he said.

“The event is being held in conjunction with the Launceston Running Club and has $1500 in cash and prizes — sign in starts at 10am and the cost is $10 for the 10 kilometre event and $5 for the shorter run.

“The event has been supported by a wide variety of local business so there will be lots of spot prizes on the day.”

Mr Walker said that there would again be a wide variety of art and crafts on display this year.

“There will be work from students and adults in a wide range of categories, including cooking, sewing, flower arranging and photography,” he said.

“Jamie Davis will be providing music on the day and there is a variety of food and beverages available, while watching events like the wood chopping and horse jumping.

“There will also be a demonstration and clinic from BMX flatland stunt riders, freshly back from an international event in Japan, as part of the entertainment.

“Zorb balls, balloon animals, a Lego display, jumping castles and face painting complete what will be a fantastic family day out.”
