Halloween in Pirie

Getting into the spirit of Halloween were ‘Churc’, left, Ellice and Amanda Caputo, Rosa-Lee Pisani, Lexi Nottage, and front Ilana Penny. Tyler Talbot, 6, put on a very scary face beside his sister Peyton, 2, at the Halloween party at the home of the Caputo family on Friday.

It would not be Halloween without the scary display held by the Caputo family with this year’s event teaming up with the Make-A-Wish Foundation to become an even more successful night.

In only its third year, the event has grown significantly to see an estimated 1400 guests walk through the Senate Road Extension property with 500 lolly bags all being snapped up.

This is the first year that the display has teamed up with the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the night managed to raise $695.

The event has grown year after year, with main organiser Val Caputo adding more to the display every year.

Last year the Caputos bought a “Grim Reaper”, while this year’s addition was a creepy depiction of an old lady with her child on her rocking chair.

“The crowds were wonderful and the kids were great,” Ms Caputo said.

“It is fantastic to see the kids come back from last year and to see the crowds grow.”

Lucinda Smallacombe wore a great costume for Trick or Treat.
