Hunter Academy of Sport cycling squad in training

LINED UP: New Lambton’s Lucie Fityus is among those who have made the cycling talent development squad at Hunter Academy of Sport.

THE Hunter Academy of Sport cycling talent development squad is continuing its regular squad track training sessions at the velodrome at Adamstown on Monday and Wednesday evenings.

Head coach Ross Hayter is again being assisted by former international cyclist Craig Chapman. Hayter and Chapman are supported by Chapman’s wife Alexandra, who is the program manager.

The academy cycling squad members are: Nikita Butler, Kai Chapman, Oliver Collins, Lucie Fityus, Stephen Fityus, Tim Harris, Brady Hayes, Oscar Hourn, Campbell Jones, Nicola Macdonald, Hugh Marler, Logan Olive, Aden Paterson, Lochie Rose, Ben Swain, Nicolas Villers, and Caleb Wickens.

Most of these cyclists will be off to Sydney on Sunday, November 23, to compete in the NSW Club Teams Sprint and Pursuit Track Titles at the Dunc Gray Velodrome.
