The 43-year-old Yandina man confronted the driver of a 1998 Hyundai Excel outside his Koongalba Street property about 1.30am on Sunday.

The confrontation occurred after the driver threw a molotov cocktail at the man’s house, which failed to ignite.

The driver threw a second molotov cocktail at the man, inflicting minor burns to his arms and chest.

The 43-year-old was taken to Nambour Hospital for treatment.

Police are searching for the driver of the Hyundai.

“The vehicle was a two-door model with a rear spoiler and sustained a broken rear passenger-side window and possibly interior damage from the fire,” police said.
