RSM ladies host Mclean lawn bowlers

The RSM Bowling Club ladies played host, alongside bowlers from Tingha, Delungra, and Inverell Women’s club bowlers, for a group of ladies from the Maclean Women’s Bowling Club on Wednesday, October 22.

PRESIDENTIAL VISIT: East Gwydir president Ann Barry with Mclean president Sally Squires and RSM vice-president Helen Anstee.

Maclean ladies made the trip to Inverell with a host of 39 ladies who put up excellent sporting competition on the day.

V Neve of Maclean won the day, alongside local lady G Gaukroger and fellow Mclean bowlers I Whitney and E Golden.

The spider even went to N Phelps of Mclean.

Runners up at the end of tallied scores were L Robinson (Delungra), L Leadbeater, J Botton, and M Stallard (McLean). East Gwydir president Anne Barry thanked leading ladies RSM vice-president Helen Anstee and Maclean president Sally Squires, along with their respective bowling ladies for a fine day of regional club competition.

The Maclean ladies have made committeemen’s to return to Inverell soon, RSM vice-president Anstee said.
