Stunning cars in spectacular style

The Rotarian Kiama Car Show spectacular at Kiama Showground at the weekend helped to raise money for kids with cancer. Picture: ANDY ZAKELISPECTACULAR weather and exhibits helped raise money for kids with cancer at the second annual Kiama Car Spectacular and Swap Meet on Sunday.

More than 140 veteran, vintage and classic cars were displayed at the Kiama Showground for the event hosted by the Gerringong Sunrise and Kiama Rotary clubs.

Rotary spokesman Brian Warren said numbers for the event were well up on last year, possibly as a result of a switch from Saturday to Sunday – or perhaps the great weather.

It was the first show for the two-toned 1957 Chevy Bel-Air of John and Janelle Carroll of Shellharbour.

Ms Carroll said the show had special significance for her family as funds raised go to Ronald McDonald House where her 15-year-old daughter Georgia had spent time as a child.
