阿伯丁大学位于风景优美的苏格兰东岸，成立于1495年，500多年历史，是英国最古老的六所大学之一，曾有四位研究员获得诺贝尔奖，包括胰岛素的发明者。有一万一千多名学生，其中16%是研究生，14%来自世界一百三十多个国家和地区。现任校长卫亦信（Wilson)阁下是1987-1992年的香港总督。大学有43个系，4所学院：科学与工程学院、药学与医学院、社会科学与法律学院、文科与神学院。全部43个系及研究中心均有硕士和博士课程。

阿伯丁大学在一年一度的《英国泰吾士报TIMES》全英数百所大学排名中，名列第19位。是英国最好的20个明星级大学之一。2003年TIMES专业排名：ABERDEEN的法律排名第14位；商业管理排名20位；医学，第6位。大学的土地经济、法律、金融、商管、计算机工程、医学、环境/生物科学等专业具有较强的权威性。本科生课程选择自由度大，大学提供300多门课程，可以学习三年制普通学位或者四年制荣誉学位。大学十分注重研究生的培训及研究：共设有70多种一年制讲授式硕士学位，全部43个学系及研究院中心均设有硕士及博士研究课程。阿伯丁大学的管理和法律 ，尤其深受中国学生的欢迎。
入学条件
研究生申请人：
大学本科毕业，平均成绩80%以上，GPA3.2以上
3年优秀大专毕业生，有5年以上工作经验，平均成绩80%以上，且所学课程与申请专业基本相同者，可直接攻读各专业硕士课程
语言要求：IELTS 6.0或TOEFL 550(个别专业要求IELTS7.0)
本科申请人：
优秀高中毕业生可直接入读大学一年级，不需通过UCAS申请
可接受2年制工程类大专生插班攻读相同专业的本科第3年和第4年(在样所学课程与要申请课程设置基本一致)
语言要求：
本科与硕士的语言要求均为IELTS6.0或TOEFL550（法学院和商学院为IELTS7.0或TOEFL600），可为IELTS6.0及TOEFL550的学生提供1个月免费语言学习，低于此标准可加读1至6个月的强化英语。
留学费用
文科类本科或硕士—7，200英镑； 理工类本科或硕士—9，480英镑；

医学类本科（最后3年）—18，000英镑
奖学金
阿伯丁大学有广泛的奖学金申请领域。大学43个系都有研究博士。一般说来，从事研究的博士学生，除了第一年需要交学费，一般第二年就开始拿奖学金了。好的话，可全奖。
住宿服务
大学为所有的单身新生保证提供至少一年的校内附近的单人宿舍。如果愿意，可以在宿舍一直住下去。新建的宿舍楼是专为研究生或无陪同家属的已婚学生而设，内有浴室配套设施。大学还提供各种福利及支持，如学术顾问，校内学生保健服务，宿舍管理员等。校园体育及娱乐设施完善。
